APEC Workshop on Infrastructure and Capital Development, entitled “Fostering APEC’s Infrastrucuture thorugh Long-Term Investment & Capital Market Development”, took place at the Royal Garden Hall Convention Center in Iloilo City on July 23-24, 2015, where officials from finance ministries and multilateral organizations, infrastructure experts and capital market players across APEC economies.

Mack served as a commentator in the Session 4: Overview of Capital Market Development and Integration in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The panel was chaired by Hon. Ephyro Luis B. Amatong, Commissioner, Securities and Exchange Commission, The Republic of the Philippines.
After the chairman’s introductory statement, the following speakers made their speeches:
- Mr Aaron Gwak, Executive DIrector and ASEAN Head of Debt Capital Markets, Standard Chartered Bank
- Mr Kiyoshi Nishimura, Chief Executive Officer, Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility (CGIF)
- Ms Nataliya Mylenko, Senior Financial Sector Specialist, Finance and Markets Global Practice, The World Bank
Mack made a presentation on a holistic framework to support the long-term roles of insurance and pension industry in the Asia-Pacific, APFF work on retirement income and longevity, as well as regulatory, accouting, market, and operational issues on promotoing long-term investments in the Asia Pacific. The linkage between retirement security/longevity solution and capital market development/infrasturucture development was emphasized.
