Several years ago, we launched “Music for SDGs” Project with the following objective:
Under the slogan of “No one will be left behind!”, aiming to provide opportunities for the general public to deepen understanding of SDGs in an easier and enjoyable way through music events integrating entertainment and education.

  • Music for SDGs Earth Day Music Festival 2023

    On 22 April 2023, Music for SDGs will host a 7-hour Earth Day Music Festival for SDGs 2023 in conjunction with the International Earth Day 2023, inviting artists and speakers for the purpose of enhancing awareness on selected SDGs in a form of concerts, speeches and entertainment shows.

  • UN77 Celebration Music Festival for SDGs 2022

    On 19 September 2022, Music for SDGs hosted a 5-hour Music Festival for SDGs 2022 in conjunction with the 77th United Nations General Assembly, inviting artists and speakers for the purpose of enhancing awareness on selected SDGs in a form of concerts, speeches and entertainment shows.

  • Music for SDGs performed the OECD IPPC Reception in June at the Chateau de la Muette, Paris

    On 22 June 2022, Music for SDGs joined the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Insurance and Private Pensions Committee (IPPC) Reception, which will take place at the Chateau de la Muette, Paris, France, hosted by the Life Insurance Association of Japan (LIAJ) for the purpose of promoting SDGs and World Peace through Japanese tradition and sustainable Kimono. [This event was not open to the public]

  • Music for SDGs Earth Day Music Festival 2022

    On 29 April 2022 (JST), Music for SDGs hosted a 12-hour Earth Day Music Festival 2022 in conjunction with the International Earth Day, inviting artists and speakers in collaboration with Clermont Choir Foundation, Catch US Performing Arts (CUPA), FaiRy, GloCha/IAAI, HEIWA MATSURI, Humming for Peace & Humming Together Partnership, Kimono Global Club (KGC), Kansai Music Conference (KMC), Purpose Driven Innovation Ecosystem (PDIE), Rotary Dare to be Great e-Club, SDGs Spiral, Society and Diplomatic Review, Studio Pleoades, Tiara Group, and Women Orchestra Japan, for the purpose of enhancing awareness through entertainment, fashion shows and education.

    On 23-25 September 2021, Music for SDGs co-hosted a 12-hour Music Festival for SDGs 2021 with GloCha/IAAI in conjunction with the 76th United Nations General Assembly, inviting artists and speakers in collaboration with Clermont Choir Foundation, HEIWA MATSURI, Humming for Peace, Kimono Global Club (KGC), Mother Earth Cup, Music for Climate Justice (M4CJ), Rotary Dare to be Great e-Club, SDGs Spiral, Social-Japan, Society and Diplomatic Review, 360 HUB Global, Tiara Group, and Women Orchestra Japan, for the purpose of enhancing awareness on selected SDGs in a form of panel discussions, speeches and entertainment shows.

  • UN76 & International Peace Day Celebration New York Concert for SDGs 2021

    On 21 September 2021, Music for SDGs co-hosted UN76 & International Peace Day Celebration New York Concert for SDGs 2021 with Tiara Group and GloCha/IAAI in conjunction with the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and International Peace Day, for the purpose of enhancing awareness on world peace and SDGs.
    The event took place at Michiko Studios (149 W 46th St. New York): 7:15pm (open) 7:30pm-9:30pm [EDT] The artists include YUZURINO HANA [Yuzu Natsumi (singer song writer/shamisen player), Rino Aise (Tiara’s CEO/singer/sanshin player)], Youth Yamada (guitarist/bassist), Jazz4SDGs [Mack Okubo (executive producer/singer/ dancer), Aya Ishida (singer/composer), Nobuki Takamen (guitarist/composer), Ai Yamashita (pianist/ keyboardist/ composer), Rintaro Mikami (drummer/composer), Hina Oikawa (alto sax player), Takashi Hirose (bassist)], Akira Watanabe (musical actress/singer/dancer), and Yurika Ono (dancer), and Elizaveta Kozlova (opera singer/soprano).

  • UN HLPF Celebration Music Festival for SDGs 2021

    On 10-11 July 2021, Music for SDGs co-hosted a 15-hour Music Festival for SDGs 2021 with GloCha/IAAI in conjunction with United Nations High Level Political Forum (HLPF), inviting artists and speakers in collaboration with Catch US Performing Arts (CUPA), Kimono Global Club (KGC), Mother Earth Cup, Music for Climate Justice, Rotary Dare to be Great e-Club, SDGs Spiral, Social-Japan, Society and Diplomatic Review, 360 HUB Global, Tiara Group, and Women Orchestra Japan, for the purpose of enhancing awareness on selected SDGs in a form of panel discussions, speeches and entertainment shows.

    About the Music Festival for SDGs 2021 (In English)

  • Tiara “Prayer for Okinawa” Concert

    On 22-23 June 2021, Tiara Group and Heiwa Peace and Reconciliation Foundation of New York co-hosted an online concert Prayer for Okinawa, supported by Music for SDGs, in conjunction with Okinawa’s Memorial Day, a day designated to commemorate the war dead from the Battle of Okinawa among others. The audience enjoyed a series of music performance related with Okinawa, and heard speeches about Okinawa’s history and importance of preserving world peace and beautiful nature.

  • Music for SDGs Music Performance for IAPSS World Congress

    International Association of Political Science Students (IAPSS) hosted the World Congress, where students are gathering from 6 regions, Oceania, Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and USA/Canada on 11-14 May 2021. Music for SDGs is honored to be part of the World Congress to organize the musical performance, which had been provided by a pre-recorded video, edited by Miki Takasugi, inviting various artists around the globe.

  • Music for SDGs Earth Day Music Festival 2021

    We co-hosted a 24-hour online event with GloCha/IAAI as part of ACTION NOW initiative in conjunction with INTERNATIONAL EARTH DAY, for the purpose of enhancing awareness on SDGs through entertainment and education, opening in Japan at 6am (EDT)/7pm (JST) on 22 April 2021, covering performers in Europe, Africa and in New York, and concluding at 6am (EDT)/7pm (JST) on 23 April 2021.

  • IAPSS 24-Hour Telethon on Global Homelessness
    On 21 November 2020 (EST), we joined IAPSS 24-Hour Telethon on Global Homelessness, hosted by International Association of Political Science Students (IAPSS) in collaboration with United Nations Association South New York (UNA-USA), UN2020, UN75, Music for SDGs, The World Is Watching, US-ASEAN Youth Council, and GPODS. Music for SDGs will arrange and run the 5 talent show, inviting world-class talented artists supporting SDGs, and assist in finding speakers and promoting the event.

  • United Nations 75 Year Celebration Music Festival for SDGs
    co-hosted by Music for SDGs Coalition and GloCha (6:00am – 11:00pm (EDT), 26 September 2020)

    We organized a 17 hour online event on 26 September 2020, back to back to the 17th United Nations General Assembly.

    Meghan Picerno, a Broadway actress starring Christine Daae of the Phantom of the Opera kindly promoted our event.

  • Rough Labo SDGs Collaboration Contest
    co-hosted by Rough Labo and Music for SDGs.
  • As the first event, we successfully organized “JAZZ Concert – ANIME for SDGs” on November 1, 2018 at Crown Theater in Times Square, New York, where Japanese Anime songs were performed by jazz musicians, combined with talk shows on SDGs.
